8:00pm to 9:00pm
Working on a brief for the Financial Times, we were asked to build a real time webcast chat system enabling an IM conversation between two journalists to be watched by thousands online. The technique we used had just recently been given a name - Comet - and there were few server implementations available, so we built one. This session is about the resulting open source project, Meteor, and how to take advantage of it to integrate real time data in your web applications.
Devrel for @fastly. Also @w3ctag, @polyfillio. Still love the @FT. Once described as "not entirely wrong" by @slightlylate bio from Twitter
