Outlining the experience developing Trendly, Avi describes the failure of his own creation, Seaside Smalltalk web application framework, and all other web app frameworks, to accommodate complex asynchronous Javascript / JSON interactions for web applications. Plus a demo of the Clamato Smalltalk to Javascript compiler, which was created as a consequence of the production of Trendly.
