Social Media: Point/Counterpoint

A session at 2010 NMHC Apartment Operations and Technology Conference & Exposition

  • Todd Katler
  • Terry Danner

Sunday 14th November, 2010

4:00pm to 5:30pm (CST)

There is a push and pull on the use of social media in apartment marketing and leasing activities. Many are
advocates and support the use of resources to implement social media. Others are looking hard to find the
data that supports the level of effort and cost. Additionally, the utilization of various social media sites
presents a new set of risks that must be addressed. This session will take the two sides to a warm and
friendly debate (NOT) – or at least a professional discussion of views. Take a position or just listen to the
debate, but don’t miss the opportunity to think and learn more about the apartment industry’s use of social
media.
