The SunMast: The UK's first grid-connected solar street light system

A session at Beat the Big Turn-off

Thursday 9th December, 2010

6:30pm to 7:05pm (GMT)

Councils all over Britain are contemplating the ‘big turn-off’. But there’s a better way to cut emissions and save energy on street lighting. Join us at the Institution of Engineering and Technology, London 9 December 2010, to find out how street lights can use the sun to feed the grid and generate income so we can keep our streets lit and safe.

KN Network Services and Scotia have teamed up to show how to cut energy costs and carbon emissions without compromising the quality of the public realm at night. And, Connect Plus will show how it plans to use Scotia’s SunMast grid-connected technology on the M25.
