Cloud Computing in PHP With the Amazon Web Services

A session at Cloudstock

In this session you will learn how to use the Amazon Web Services (AWS) including the Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), the Simple Storage Service (S3), the Simple Queue Service (SQS), and the Simple Database Service (SimpleDB) to create a scalable application in PHP. After a brief introduction to the relevant aspects of AWS, we’ll jump right in, designing the architecture, writing the code, and putting it to use. You will see how easy and fun it is to build and run an application in the cloud. By the time you leave you’ll know enough to create your own heavy-duty cloud-based application without too much trouble. The code will be presented in PHP and will make use of the free AWS SDK for PHP.
