We're not designing posters, here!

A session at Codebits 2010

Friday 12th November, 2010

2:00pm to 3:00pm (LMT)

The web is much more than a series of tubes. It is a living, breathing, multi-device, multi-purpose and multi-cultural tool which has been changing Humanity for the past two decades.

There's so much more than meets the eye on this interweb of ours that it's of the utmost important that we understand *why* we should care about and *how* to achieve the bulletproof®ness and responsiveness® in our designs for the web.

We'll go through some of the fundamental questions in our young webdesign industry and discuss the options we have.

Progressive enhancement? Font-face, friend or foe? Flexible and liquid layouts? Grids on the web? Media-queries for different screen-sizes? ...

Hopefully, by the end of the talk, we'll all have the same understanding on *why* we should care about making our designs as solid and robust as those stones they have up in Stonehenge but also as adaptable as a chameleon's skin.
