Illustrator Jim Smith (a.k.a. Waldo Pancake) has a more subversive sense of humour than most. Fresh out of college he landed a client in the shape of coffee retailer Puccino’s, and turned their branding into a joke — in a good way. The off-beat attitude and humorous copywriting that made his work so popular with customers, can now be found on a range of Waldo Pancake themed products and merchandise.
In this session, Jim will look back at how he developed Puccino's brand over ten years, and show what can happen when you’re given complete creative freedom and a sense of anything goes.
