South London Geek Night 3 schedule

Unscheduled

  • Firefox in the future

by ☞ Desigan Chinniah ☜, Seth Bindernagel and William Quiviger

We've invited some members of the Mozilla Labs crew to come along, and they'll be sharing some funky HTML5 demos in the soon-to-be-released Firefox 4. They'll also be letting in you in on a couple of the equally funky features in the works for a future version of Firefox: Account Management, where you can use Firefox as a trusted agent to regain control of your online identity, and Jetpack, which will take the pain out of add-on development.

  • Hiding data, content and technology in real-world games

Finding out information simply by asking people questions always leads to very skewed results and not much fun for either party. Games, however, are a fun and simple way to gather both implicit and explicit data from people and to engage people in collaboratively creating or filtering data. Here, Chris will give you a few examples of this and talk a bit about how real-world data games can be an engaging and inclusive thing for all the family.
