Sessions at IBM European WebSphere Technical Conference about WebSphere MQ on Wednesday 13th October

The lab walks you through all of the tasks to lock down administrative access on a queue manager. Starting from scratch we set up SSL channels between queue managers and from WMQ Explorer to the queue managers. We also configure the channels with exits and apply OAM authorizations. The new WebSphere MQ Advanced Message Security product provides encryption of messages from the point of production to the point of consumption without impacting application code. This session introduces WMQ AMS and shows how it provides enhanced authentication, message-level authorization, audit trails and assists with regulatory compliance. WMQ AMS is the successor to WebSphere MQ Extended Security Edition. It is much more closely integrated to WebSphere MQ and removes the dependency on additional components thus making it dramatically easier to implement and configure.
