Uncharted Waters: New 4D v13 HTTP Client

A session at 4D Summit 2011

In the past HTTP requests made from 4D required the use of external tools, for example 4D Internet Commands or cURL. For those unfamiliar with HTTP commands, trying to make HTTP request from 4D could feel a little like drowning in a sea of unknown technology. The new HTTP Client commands in 4D v13 eliminate the hassle by making HTTP calls a native part of 4D. These new commands provide the life jacket developers have been waiting for to make HTTP requests easy and get web data into your 4D application. Besides wading through the new commands, this session will dive into some of the amazing new possibilities that can be achieved with this feature. Come get your feet wet with the new HTTP Client commands!
