Playing the Customer Development Game

A session at Agile Cambridge 2011

Friday 30th September, 2011

1:00pm to 2:30pm (GMT)

Agile is great at building what you want—but how do you know what your customers want?

In this game-based workshop you will learn how the Customer Development model and User Experience practices can help you discover the right product—before you build the wrong business.

Instead of creating a Big Business Plan Up Front you will learn how to incrementally build a business model—using lightweight descriptions of business hypotheses that you can test against real customers.

Lean Startup = Customer Development + Agile Development

  • Product Managers and Product Owners on agile teams will discover a new way to think about prioritising and driving their product's direction.
  • User Experience practitioners, especially those with a user-research focus, will find a new way to integrate their practices with agile teams.
  • Anybody new to Lean Startup and Customer Development should find it fun!
