Android Lessons You Won’t Learn in School

A session at AnDevCon II

Tuesday 8th November, 2011

3:45pm to 5:00pm (PST)

If you want to create one of the top apps on the Android Market, you are going to need to know more than just what you will find in the SDK documentation or even in most Android books. Some things you only find out through experience, or from others' experiences.

In this class, you’ll learn from experiences drawn from creating some of the top apps on the Android Market. Topics will include communicating over sockets, mobile security, building your own SDK, working with legacy backend systems, efficient logging and crash reporting, interacting with web content, and testing on 100 devices.
