Forget your MBA: Managing in a Creative Culture

A session at Big Design Conference 2011

Friday 15th July, 2011

3:00pm to 4:00pm (CST)

This is a manifesto for what it takes to build an amazing, long-lasting company that can change the world. It's not easy, and it's not a spoon-fed answer. This is a framework of how to approach business problems. Business is a design problem, and any great designer knows that amazing work is born of constraints. "Without explicit constraints and trade-offs, it's just making stuff up" (via @rjs).

From concepts as simple as "build an amazing product" to something as counterintuitive as "don't hire for experience," this hour will teach you to forget your MBA and try something new with your business.
