Everyone’s in sales, they just may have left that out of your job description…
Networking is more than grabbing a cocktail at a hip new venue and talking to the new girl/guy from that startup agency downtown. It is something we generally all do, and very rarely measure. After all, what’s the value of a business card, handshake or LinkedIn connection?
Let’s get to the heart of the matter and talk about ways to truly gain value from networking, as well as explore other means of making new business/partnership leads. After all, how much time do you spend talking to the same folks that do what you do and expect to substantially grow your business? What are you actually supposed to do with all of those LinkedIn connections and Facebook friends? And, how often do you evaluate and change your approach to building your network and business leads?
This presentation will explore how startups, entrepreneurs and corporate employees can leverage both digital and in-person networking for positive returns. It will answer the questions of what in the heck do I do with this stack of business cards I just brought home from Big D? I think I can work with this person, now how do I make the next move? I want to work with company X, but I have no contacts there…what now? As well as, I’m pretty introverted, how do you expect me to approach a stranger?
Come hungry….leave full!
