DEV828 – Lab: Introduction to BlackBerry WebWorks

A session at BlackBerry DevCon Asia 2011 (Dec)

Wednesday 7th December, 2011

4:30pm to 6:30pm (SMT)

Attend this workshop for a hands-on experience in developing BlackBerry® smartphone and BlackBerry® Tablet OS apps using the BlackBerry® WebWorks™ SDK. This boot camp will cover how to create your first BlackBerry app and integrate device functionality using HTML5 and BlackBerry WebWorks APIs. Learn how to transform any existing web assets into a BlackBerry super app, and how to design great looking UI that can easily support all BlackBerry smartphone and BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet screen dimensions. Attendees in all labs at BlackBerry DevCon Asia will be required to bring their own laptop to the session. Emails will be sent to all attendees who have scheduled lab sessions one week prior to the event noting any tools that must be installed. It is the responsibility of the attendee to arrive at the beginning of the lab with all required tools properly installed. This format allows attendees to leave the lab with a fully functional development environment and functioning source code.
