Cloud computing and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) consolidate computing resources into a smaller number of larger data centers that have to be more efficient and run at a larger scale. As a result of this consolidation, management complexity increases thereby creating a need for a comprehensive "lights out" solution, including management of the networking subsystem. Windows Server 8 enables remote networking management solutions. This talk will dive into the specific capabilities for PowerShell management of the network stack.
