Cassandra London April Meetup schedule

Monday 18th April 2011

  • Acunu storage core

Andrew Byde from Acunu gives a talk on the key-value dictionary that underlies the Acunu storage core. Acunu gives “Big Data” applications high and predictable performance, robustness and simple management.

In the first release of the Acunu Storage Platform, we are focussing on Cassandra and have gone through a significant performance benchmarking exercise. In this session, we will present some of the findings and lessons learned.

    At 7:00pm to 8:30pm, Monday 18th April

  • Algorithms and Data Structures

Lorenzo Alberton will give an introduction to some algorithms and data structures used by Cassandra to speed up queries and keep entropy low. In this session we'll analyse Bloom Filters and Merkle Trees: what they are, where they're used and how they work.

    At 7:00pm to 8:30pm, Monday 18th April

  • Introduction to CQL
