HTML5: Where Flash Isn't Needed Anymore

A session at Flash on the Beach 2011

Flash over the years, has been used to prop up the regular browser like a sad old man drinking alone in a pub.

Today browsers come shipped with technology designed to rival Flash and aim to shut it squarely out of the game.

This session will look at where Flash is no longer needed over native browser technology, what the code looks like, and even where ActionScript can be ported directly to JavaScript.
