Bootstrapping SoundCloud's Platform - The bumpy ride from zero to hundreds of apps and millions of users

SoundCloud has had an API ever since we launched in private beta. Today, hundreds of 3rd-party apps have been built on top of our platform—in fact entire companies depend on our API and a fair amount of our business is driven by it, which is pretty cool!
