With the phenomenal growth of mobile computing, we are beginning to recognise for the first time the power of blending multiple technologies of the past with those of mobility; always present, location aware, connected and personal. Using experiences from mobile projects deployed in recent times, this talk shows what can be done when you blend the mobile phone application with the world around you.

What if I could...

• swipe my phone over a museum exhibit and receive details on that work of art in my own language
• print that important business document or just taken photograph and deliver by Royal Mail for the price of a first class stamp.
• snap a picture of that advertising poster on the side of the bus showing the latest blockbuster movie and receive a trailer and local viewing details.
• wander through a large stadium, exhibition hall or gallery and accurately locate my position as I can in the outside world
