Ah, remember the days when all a band needed were some flyers, the odd poster and a friendly radio DJ or two to get by? No, us neither. But, even for hardened (re: cynical) operatives like us the amount of plates a band, label, manager, hell any and all creative types have to keep spinning these days is frankly terrifying: update your website, your social media, your blogs, sell your stuff on every available channel but give it all away for free too, launch an app, podcast, collect data, geotag, mailout, photograph, video, bend over and touch your damn toes, etc, etc, etc... So, all being said, it’s probably a good idea to know what’s important and what’s not right? What tools you’ll need to be able to get the job done, without turning into some kind of freaky faceless cyborg* Luckily, we’ve got just the people to sort the iPhones from the Betamax, the Google from the Ask Jeeves and the Facebook from the Friendster... *Unless you’re Daft Punk. In which case it’s probably a key part of the act we guess...
