Day 3 of Back2Business week is the official launch of Monmouthshire’s RDP Business Plan 2, celebrating more than £3m investment secured by Monmouthshire County Council’s Economic Development and adventa teams to develop Monmouthshire’s rural economy. Keynote speaker, Mike Morgan, owner of Llansantffraed Court Hotel, will identify the opportunities for local businesses and communities to get involved and explain how they can benefit from project activities, highlighting some of the successful projects funded through Business Plan 1. The day’s programme will also include presentations from Peter Cole, Strategy Director, Capital Region Tourism, on emerging trends and opportunities for tourism, and Kim Waters, chief executive of the
internationally-renowned Abergavenny Food Festival, who will share his plans for developing this event in the future. Gerwyn Evans, Senior Strategic Projects Executive, Visit Wales, will provide an overview of the national context for the projects and explain how they fit in with national strategies and planned pan-Wales activities. There will be chef and digital tourism demonstrations going on throughout the day and individual project officers will be on hand to provide further information on
all Monmouthshire RDP- funded projects.
