Sessions at PACLUG about Lotus Notes on Tuesday 21st June

This session is focused on a live demonstration that highlights collaboration horizontally across the entire Lotus portfolio. The demo will be in the format of "Day in the Life" so we show how these technologies are integrated into an "Exceptional Work Experience". The demo will showcase a mix of out-of-the-box features, IBM customized examples, Business Partner solutions and some sneak peak at beta code. We will demo this across both our "on-premise" and "Cloud" solutions. The following products will be used: Lotus Notes, Lotus Sametime, Sametime Unified Telephony, Lotus Quickr, Lotus Connections, WebSphere Portal, IBM LotusLive -- and mobility.

In this session you will learn and see in action the first series of services which are available in the IBM® Social Business Toolkit. How will you see them? With REAL XPages code of course! Learn about ActivityStreams, OpenSocial, Oauth and much more. Read and update ActivityStreams, integrate with other social platforms such as Twitter and LinkedIn. No administrator needs to be planted in front of the admin console waiting for something to happen like the proverbial Maytag repairman. This session will give the administrator tips and tricks for management and maintenance tasks for servers and users that can be completed in two minutes, as well as tools and tips to check the stability of your servers and some jobs that can take a little longer to complete. These tips and tricks will provide administrators with a toolbox to keep your environment up and running! We'll talk about Notes/Domino, Quickr, Sametime and even Connections. You'll take back to the office tools to implement these “two-minute drills” in your environment.

In this session, we'll review 2010 for Lotus Notes and Domino, Lotus Symphony, Alloy, IBM LotusLive Notes, Lotus Traveler, and Lotus Protector products and discuss their roadmaps for 2011 and beyond. Expect to hear key messages around the next major release of Lotus Notes and Domino, and how that aligns with our vision going forward.
