XPages has provided a whole new world for web development. A component of that is delivering applications to mobile devices. With XPages and the Extension Library, built-in controls based on Dojo 1.5 are provided that allow developers to easily build mobile applications. The standard user interfaces produced by the XPages controls mimic the look and feel of native applications built for the iPhone or Android. This session builds a mobile application step-by-step and provides the finished code as a take away. The application features capabilities for hooking in the device's email, phone, and Google map capabilities while running as a code-only app in the DMZ with data safely behind the corporate firewall.
