Melody: Branching an Open Source Project from a Commercial One

We've all seen how sometimes open source projects can flourish in ways that commercial products do not.

Matt is an information designer with particular expertise in web and user interface design, and founder of local design studio lift.

In this talk, Matt will be focussing on 'Melody', an open source CMS based on Movable Type. He'll provide a brief overview of how an open source version was created out of the original commercial product, and then made better by the community.
