This presentation provides a succinct, technical review of Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 DirectAccess feature to explain how it uses IPv6 transition mechanisms, DNS64, NAT64, IPsec, certificates, machine and user authentication, smartcard and one-time password authentication, client health enforcement, and other capabilities. DirectAccess is a new feature in the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems that gives users the experience of being seamlessly connected to their corporate network any time they have Internet access. With DirectAccess, mobile computers can be managed any time the computer has Internet connectivity, ensur ing mobile users stay up-to-date with security and system health policies.
