Continuous Deployment – Nextdoor.fi released every day

A session at Scandinavian Agile Conference 2011

Have you ever wondered why your “done” items are not in production or why you need to wait for the “end of the sprint” to ship it?

One of the lean startup techniques is called continuous deployment. It’s a process whereby all features that are written for an application is immediately (or within 24 hours) deployed into production.

Nextdoor.fi is a consumer portal that serves over 30 000 consumers every month. In this session I will tell why we are applying continuous deployment for our product, how we do it and what it requires. I will share the lessons learned and also touch related topics beyond the technique.
