The success of agile data mart projects has naturally led many large organizations into agile data warehousing, where they benefit from increased productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. Yet, like any general technique, agile does not scale in a simple, linear fashion when we take on enterprise-level program engagements. Several step changes in our approach are required to navigate the new complexities of reference architectures, project integration, and resource planning. What strategies do we see emerging that IT departments of all sizes can immediately incorporate into their rapid application development frameworks?
