From Calories to Coupons, Mobile Applications Support Consumer Needs

A session at U Connect LIVE

Friday 3rd June, 2011

11:30am to 12:30pm (EST)

New opportunities for business to consumer (B2C) interaction are expanding rapidly in the US, as at the end of 2010, one in four mobile Americans now have smartphones, 3G penetration has crossed the fifty percent threshold, and nearly forty seven percent of mobile subscribers are connected media users. The very definition of mobile is changing, based on the introduction of tablet devices such as the iPad.* Consumer needs are changing more rapidly than ever, and the marketplace is being transformed as determination of a brand's value is shifting from products to experiences. This panel discussion will provide a glimpse into current, real world activities by manufacturers, retailers, and technology providers that are changing the way mobile applications impact our everyday lives.
