Launched in 2008 to promote the use of GS1 Standards to support product tracing in the retail and foodservice supply chains; the Produce Traceability Initiative has been the reference point as other fresh foods product identification initiatives have been developed and launched. This session will provide an update RE PTI's new governance and work structure and how the industry is progressing with its efforts to move from commodity level to brand / item identification.
