Our first speaker is Chandra Harrison, President of the UK Usability Professionals Association and freelance UX consultant. Chandra will give an overview of user experience and interaction design, and will walk us through a user-centred design life-cycle, with a focus on the role of the business analyst.
by Jake Markham
Next up is Jake Markham, from the BA practice at Credit Suisse. Jake is giving an overview of how usability factors are taken into account on projects at Credit Suisse, and how that has changed over time, from “undercover” work through to now having a UX training curriculum for their BAs, and access to usability labs.
by Chandra Harrison, Jake Markham, Cennydd Bowles and Nick de Voil
After these talks, the speakers will be joined by interaction designer and author Cennydd Bowles for a panel session. The three panellists will discuss any questions about user experience, interaction design and user-centred design from the audience. The panel will be chaired by Nick de Voil, independent BA and UX consultant.
We are running this as a “lasagne” panel, so if there are topics you are keen to see discussed we encourage you to submit them in advance. You can do this by emailing them to Nick Dunlavey (ukiibaux@infarch.co.uk) or by tweeting them – either address tweets to @ndunlavey, or use the #UKIIBAUX hashtag. We’ll get through as many as we can on the night.
