Subtitle: Stakeholder alignment in large-scale UX projects
On the client side, websites today require efforts from multiple departments -- during a relaunch/optimization project and afterwards. But we face a bunch of hurdles: These departments rarely talk to each other, they fight against each other, stakeholders might have their own agenda, they don't see the need for a change, or they simply are afraid of change.
As UX professionals today – especially working in agencies on large-scale projects -- we not only have to worry about user research and structure and wireframes, but also about the political side of things.
To ease the pain, we can put change management methods to good use. In this session, I'd like to discuss three aspects with you:
- Why change management?
- How to enable change?
- How to sell change management?
I do have some opinions and experiences to share, but I'd also like to hear about your thoughts!

Are we going to evolve into tie-wearing consultants? Do UX pros matter at all a few years down the road? And how do Africa and refrigerators fit in? Together with the awesome folks at UXcamp Europe, we discussed the future of our profession.
Thanks to all UXcamp attendees for a marvelous weekend, and special thanks to the Orga team - we had fun!
