Moving Beyond jQuery and into Javascript

A session at WordCamp Philly 2011

Saturday 5th November, 2011

1:15pm to 2:15pm (EST)

Front end development is much more then css, html, and a few jQuery plugins. If you are only approaching javascript as using jQuery plugins, some basic jQuery effects, or ‘ajax’, you are missing out on providing the best experience to your users. By learning this powerful language, you can create complete features that users will (hopefully) love.

We will go over the basics of javascript, some differences with php, how to build features, and finally how to incorporate javascript into your WordPress plugins and themes.
