The DCMI Bibliographic Metadata Task Group is the successor to the DCMI/RDA Task Group, organized at the 2007 London meeting between those two groups. In this first face-to-face meeting of the Task Group, priorities and work plans will be developed for the groups efforts. This meeting is open and free, but registration is required. For more information on the Task Group, see http://wiki.dublincore.org/index...
The DCMI Vocabulary Management Community developed from a full day pre-conference prior to the DC-2011 conference in The Hague in the fall of 2011. The Community will be setting work items and priorities for the coming year, based on the topics identified at the pre-conference. Some of the topics to be covered include multilingual vocabularies and translations, as well as selection and evaluation of existing vocabularies. For more information on the Community, see http://dublincore.org/groups/voc...

The London Meeting of 31 April/1 May 2007 stimulated significant development of Semantic Web representations of the major international bibliographic metadata models, including IFLA’s Functional Requirements family and the International Standard Bibliographic Description (ISBD), and MARC as well as RDA itself. Attention is now beginning to focus on the management and sustainability of this activity, and the development of high-level semantic and data structures to support library applications. Join a group of the original participants and those who've been working since then to build the next steps for bibliographic data.
