Amazon DynamoDB is a new, fully managed NoSQL database service. Developers can provision their DynamoDB tables for any desired level of read and write throughput (from tens up to hundreds of thousands of operations per second), and can change these values at any time without downtime or performance degradation. In this session you will learn about DynamoDB and how to access it from Ruby code running in the Heroku environment. You will learn how to create, populate, query, monitor, and scan tables and you’ll see how easy and quickly you can change the provisioned throughput in order to respond to changing conditions.
