Technical Content: Metadata Workshop

A session at Content Strategy Applied 2012

Thursday 1st March, 2012

11:00am to 1:15pm (GMT)

This will be a very hands-on session about metadata. If you've ever thought, "I get that metadata is important to content strategy, but I don't understand how you do it," then this is the workshop for you. The first hour will introduce some important concepts about what metadata is and how it's used. This will include exercises where we'll all participate in creating some metadata together.

In the second hour, we'll discuss some useful metadata standards and vocabularies. This will include discussion and activities that will help bring the standards to life by applying them to real-world content and situations. Join us and gain the insight you need to figure out how to use metadata in your projects, or how to develop the metadata that you'll need to give your content context, structure and meaning.
