  • HTML CSS Essentials & Mastery: Refining Skills From Design To Code

    by Michael Connors

This is a 2 (consecutive) day workshop targeted for Web Designers, Graphic Designers, Developers, Marketers, & those looking to sharpen their skill set & knowledge of HTML5/CSS3.

This course is a real-world, skills-based workshop that provides essential knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, both in theory and practical application. If you are self-taught, have limited formal training in HTML/CSS, still confused about best practices, just faking it, frustrated with code, or still don’t quite “get it,” this course is perfect for you.

On day one, we begin by discussing and reviewing HTML and CSS basics in a way you may have never looked at them before – we'll be shedding new light on core concepts, covering best practices for using structural elements, semantics, page structure, and how HTML and CSS work together to control page presentation.

On day two, we work on a hands-on project lab, where students apply what they’ve learned to first create wireframes of a web page, and then a visual prototype using Fireworks or Photoshop. Lastly, students will code the design, applying best practice workflow techniques.

Michael Connors, veteran Designer & Instructor at Boston University's CDIA school, will be conducting this course. Visit the event site listed below for full details on Michael's credentials.
