The world is changing and moving away from copper to fibre optics. New technology means that we are now able to deliver data speeds of over 100mb to businesses and homes. There will be hands on demonstration of optical fibre splicing and fusion. This will show how fibres are joined together using a sophisticated machine that precisely aligns and then fuses the fibres together to create the new network.
Students make an app that is pertinent to their love of fashion or sport or a favourite band or actor… the possibilities are endless. Students become creators of technology, not just consumers. Every student leaves with a huge sense of achievement, having been able to produce something tangible they can share with others.
