A session at Digital Shoreditch Festival 2012
We plan to have a range of our equipment for students and teachers to try, allowing them to design in 3D, scan in 3D and print in 3D. If we have the space we will also have some manual and motorised kit tools (lathes, mills, sanders, jigsaws) for the pupils/students to try for themselves. We know from experience that when people have the chance to try our equipment they are enthused and motivated, and the only problem we have is getting them off the equipment so that others can have a go!

Martin has been active in 3D printing since before it was called 3D printing! In 2009, he founded A1 Technologies with the aim of bringing low cost easy-to-use 3D design and 3D print products to market, in particular for education, to allow kids all over the world to use their creativity and design skills to design 3D objects and then turn them into physical 3D models. To that end, A1 is just launching the Maxit, a new and exciting kit 3D printer (see the video).
