Node.js: JavaScript from Client to Server and Beyond!

A session at #digpen V: Plymouth

Saturday 29th September, 2012

2:00pm to 2:00pm (GMT)

Node.js offers to introduce a potentially harmonised stack and a scalable real-time application framework Rob and Gary will give a whistlestop tour of the history of server-side Javascript to date from simple validation to the arrival of V8. They'll then share their experiences working with node.js on live projects, separating fact from fiction and where it does and doesn't fit in. Along the way they'll share tips on how to evaluate new technology, not just because it's new and shiny, and the pro's and cons of living on the bleeding edge.

Rob is CEO and Gary Technical Lead at leading Plymouth-based agency GOSS Interactive.
