Scotland's first Drupal for Business event will be held on Friday 25th May, 2012 at the University of Edinburgh's School of Informatics. The event will promote and explain Drupal's capabilities as a versatile, business solutions framework to business, national/local government and higher education institutes.
Geared toward VPs, Media Directors, Web Operations Managers, Marketing & Branding Leads, and Senior IT professionals, the day will offer a highly-focused, non-technical look at Drupal. The schedule will be packed with sessions about Drupal as a viable, reliable solution for organizations of every kind. Attendees will hear real-world cases studies on high-profile and successful Drupal projects, have a chance to connect with Drupal professionals, find out about trends for developing business apps, and share information with other business leaders about Drupal.
The ideal way for web developers and designers to get started in Drupal, this full-day event will be held at Edinburgh University's School of Informatics. By the end of the day, you will know how to build your own fully functional website and be well versed in using additional modules and customising your own themes.
Web developers and designers beware! This introduction to the Drupal content management system could seriously improve your skillset.
In less than 2 hours you will learn how to install the Drupal core, download and enable contributed modules and theme your website.
By the end of the event, participants will be fully prepared for most of the main Drupal Camp sessions [on the following day].
The third Drupal Camp Scotland will be held 26th May 2012 at Edinburgh University's Informatics Forum, less than a mile from the capital's historic centre.
As the premier training and promotional event for Drupal in the Scottish calendar, the camp represents an ideal platform to reach out to the full gamut of interested web professionals: developers, designers, site builders, project managers and business owners.
Sessions will be presented by the community and some fantastic local and international companies, there'll be plenty of opportunity to hook up with web designers, developers and site builders, and a fantastic keynote presentation (all to be announced in the next few weeks).
We'll have 2 or 3 session themes, allowing those starting out in Drupal, and seasoned developers alike to learn what's hot. We're even hoping to have free beer after the final main session: it's true, miracles sometimes happen.
This is an event driven by you. Signup, meetup and enjoy yourselves.
