Design by Fire Café #015

On Monday 19 March 2012 IxDA Nederland organizes the 15th edition of Design by Fire Café. Design by Fire Café is an informal gathering for (interaction) designers.

DESIGNING FOR AN OLDER AUDIENCE

Playful learning to deal with a computer, for your own health care, to strengthen your social network and to keep a board horizon. These were the objectives of the concept: "Vitamin P - a puzzle a day keeps the doctor away". A puzzle community for the elderly, where they can play a game each day, meet each other, train their (decaying) cognition and get a grip on their own wellbeing.

The older target group was an ideal group to design for. In this presentation, Ellis will illustrate how this has led to a product that appeals to many people outside the target group also.
