Technological innovation emerges from practical necessity, but it's potential can often only be fully realized through creative exploration.
The rapid evolution of web technologies in recent years has given us new horizons to explore and open channels to distribute and share our ideas and creations - we've been empowered by the availability and accessibility of technology.
This session will explore the weird and wonderful things we do with these technologies and discuss ideas and techniques for expanding our own research through freedom and play, tangents and distractions.
Connect the dots by crossing disciplines and journey through generative art, genetic algorithms, interactive toys, emergent behaviors, fractals and audio-visual experiments, as we discover the importance of play as a technique for probing the boundaries and sometimes even breaking through them.
We'll look deeper than the technology itself to find new ways of expressing ideas - plus they'll be demos of new experiments created exclusively for FITC...
