UX Doesn't Exist

A session at FITC Toronto 2012

A lot of really smart people would swear that it does, but they're just trying to cope. IA, UX and design aren't so different that we need different schools, conferences and stages in a project. We've been separated for too long. It's time to recognize that design isn't how something looks, it's how it works and how it feels. We'll talk about the difference between designing and decorating, and make sure you're doing the right one..

This session examines the changing roles of UX professionals and designers. We'll briefly coup-de-grâce the idea of form vs. function and try to figure out what the hell to call yourself when your family asks what you do for a living
