Life in the Funds Lane

A session at GDC Game Developers Conference 2012

Monday 5th March, 2012

4:30pm to 5:30pm (PST)

The past year has seen a proliferation of 'funds' targeting developers who promise to support developers looking for funding to create their next games. With the help of these funds, several titles have been developed. This talk will cover the pros and cons of these types of deals, recap the overall 'fund' market. It will give advice on the types of developers that should tap into this space and how they should approach it.

TAKEAWAY: Attendees should leave this session with a better understanding of available 'funds' to approach, what types of projects and business models work best and how they can know if it makes sense for their company to look into.
