So you want to make the leap into freelancing and don't know where to start? Confused on how to set up invoices, make estimates and organize your money so you're not behind on bills?
Almost three years ago, I was in your place. I quit my job at the last minute due to health reasons and jumped in feet first. I had no savings, no clients and no clue where to start.
I don't want you to feel that way. In this three hour session, I'll show you just how to set up your business and where to get started. We'll spend most of our time learning how to deal with money - especially what to do with it when you finally start getting paid. This session is less about finding clients (that's honestly not the hard part!) but what to do when you do find them, how to get paid and how to stay out of debt.
Each class is limited to 5 people only, so there'll be plenty of one-on-one time. We'll meet in my flat, learn in a cozy living room and lunch, munchies and drinks will be served.
Some of the topics:
Dealing with irregular income & setting up a budget
Creating invoices, estimates and getting paid
Tools for tracking these items
Pros and cons of hourly, daily or project rates
Managing projects & clients
