Call for speakers

GothamJS 2012

Ever wanted to perform on Broadway? Your presentation proposal to GothamJS, New York City's JavaScript conference, can make that dream come true.

GothamJS will be held at the amazing NYIT Auditorium on Broadway, a fantastic venue, on Saturday, July 14th 2012. Like the name says, its right on Broadway.

We expect our presentations to be 40 minutes long, including time for questions and discussion. But if you think otherwise for your presentation (longer or shorter), let us know what you want and convince us. We're flexible.

Keep in mind that our audience will be fully-engaged members of the New York JavaScript developer's community. Your presentation should appeal to them. Presentations should be loaded with code and technical content. Proposals containing marketing-based content will be sniffed out and booted from the list. We are engineers. We want to be entertained and amazed. An overt sales pitch will not get the reaction you want from our audience.

Submit as many proposals as you like. Panels or multi-presenter proposals are fine. All of the presenters will receive a free ticket.

We plan to record all the presentations, and making the videos available online for free. If this isn't OK, that's fine with us, just please mention it in the submission (in the Message to Reviewers section).

Please submit your proposal by 11:59:59 PM ET on Thursday May 3rd, 2012. We reserve the right to accept and announce a few proposals before that time.

If you have any questions, please email us at proposals at gothamjs.com. Your presentation is important to us. We want to help you make it great.
