Design Best Practices: Grid Layouts

22 March 2012 from 6pm to 7:30pm

Currently in read only mode, sorry about that, please try again in a few hours.

Grids are as old as graphic design itself but are now experiencing a renaissance as interactive displays have become ubiquitous, in all shapes and sizes. Grid-based design allows you to transform your product’s chaos into a reliable system for creating a structured and clear interface for users.

This class will develop your skills as a designer/developer and get you up to speed about layout grids, how you can use them, and how to build them. Students can expect to learn how to design a grid for their needs, how to use that grid to build better layouts, and how to actually implement a modern grid in HTML+CSS. The class will also cover other popular frameworks like 960gs, and bootstrap.

In order to take this class you must be comfortable in HTML + CSS. You will need to bring your computer.
