A session to introduce adding game mechanics to content to increase engagement and build loyalty. Discussing the underlying psychology for motivation, gaming mechanisms, and do's and don'ts of the new black art of gamifying!
Bio: Kam Star is a digital media entrepreneur, inventor and an award winning games developer. Creating his first game in 1986, he studied Architecture and for the past ten years has been deeply involved with innovations in influencing behaviour through play.
Founder of PlayGen, Kam designs and develops playful solutions and platforms for delivering engaging experiences across the digital landscape. He has produced gaming and gamification projects for the BBC, AVIVA, Eden Project, UNESCO, McKinsey, Oxford and Cambridge Universities, NESTA, UK Ministry of Defence, National Health Service, Serious Games Institute, TSB, Wellcome Trust, Samsung and many others brands and organisations.
