How MLB.com ‘Hit it out of the Park’ with Collaboration in the Cloud

A session at info360 2012

  • Rob Boysko, Manager, MLB.com
  • Isaac Garcia, CEO and Co-Founder, Central Desktop

How is Major League Baseball’s premier source for standings, news and updates on baseball, MLB.com, tracking all the content, video clips, stats, schedules, news, promotions and other initiatives? Multiple games daily, thousands of players and countless, ever-changing stats must be managed in a way that enables fans to easily access the insights and content they need to stay in tune and psyched on the league and series. Staying on task with all of these elements could be a nightmare, however, MLB.com tapped a cloud-based collaboration platform to automate processes and have since significantly reduced the workload associated with traditional communication and collaboration methods. Hear how a cloud-based collaboration platform allowed MLB.com to alleviate email inboxes, and reduce bandwidth constraints, disparate files and broken conversations, which typically hinder the natural project collaboration and teamwork processes.
